Ali Javed is a thinker, writer, and organisational leader who founded Nous with a vision to transform how Indian Muslim experiences are documented, interpreted, and narrated. As CEO, he guides research strategy, creative direction, and institutional partnerships, ensuring that every project blends rigorous scholarship with compelling storytelling. His work spans socio-economic inequality, political representation, legal questions, historical memory, and everyday Muslim life in India. He is committed to building a confident, grounded, and intellectually serious Muslim public sphere rooted in justice, tradition, and truthful narratives.
Abuzar Javed is an operations and systems leader with an MBA in Finance and Operations from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). As Chief Operations Officer, he oversees finance, HR, institutional systems, and day-to-day operations, ensuring discipline, efficiency, and timely delivery across all verticals. He brings structured management, process clarity, and a solution-oriented approach that strengthens Nous’s internal functioning and enables the team to work with focus, stability, and strategic direction.
Habibullah Rahimi is a scholar and production lead with a PhD in Arabic from Jawaharlal Nehru University. As Chief Production Officer, he directs cinematography, oversees studio workflows, and shapes Nous’s visual identity across all productions. Known for his clarity of thought and strong command over complex socio-cultural and historical issues, he provides thematic guidance, strengthens conceptual frameworks, and ensures that every project reflects Nous’s intellectual depth and narrative vision.
Abid Faheem is a public health researcher and social scientist with a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University. As Chief Product Officer, he leads the research vision at Nous by combining field insights, rigorous analysis, and data-driven storytelling. His expertise spans public health, policy analysis, socio-cultural studies, and community-based research. He specialises in using data to uncover patterns, frame evidence-based narratives, and translate complex social and health issues into clear, actionable insights.

Dr. Nizamuddin A. Siddiqui is a legal scholar and policy analyst with a PhD from Jindal Global Law School. As Head of Research at Nous, he leads the organisation’s legal, policy, and constitutional analysis, overseeing the quality, depth, and direction of all research outputs. He has previously served as Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School, the National University of Juridical Sciences, and Aligarh Muslim University–Murshidabad, and currently teaches as Visiting Faculty at Villa College, Maldives. His work explores the politics of law, operating at the intersection of law, religion, and identity, and brings rigorous scholarship and critical insight to Nous’s research framework.
Asad Ashraf is a senior journalist who investigates politics, policing, identity, and the lived realities of contemporary India. At Nous, he bridges journalism with research to bring grounded insight and clear narrative direction to complex issues. He is also the founder of Karvaan India, a platform centred on thoughtful storytelling and grassroots narratives. His work has appeared in leading national and international publications, including Al Jazeera English, Frontline, Firstpost, Outlook, The Quint, The Wire, The Federal, and several others, earning recognition for his sharp political analysis and field-driven reporting.
Thana Hussain is a researcher and writer with a keen analytical eye, specialising in political analysis, contemporary history, and human rights. Her work blends rigorous research with clear, compelling narrative development, making complex issues accessible to diverse audiences.
Ashfaque EJ is a writer and researcher trained in English journalism, passionate about storytelling rooted in facts and lived experience. His work spans research, scripting, reporting, and narrative development, contributing depth and clarity to Nous’ documentary and explainer projects.
Nazir Hussain is a research archiver and storyboard artist with a B.A. (Hons.) in Mass Media from Jamia Millia Islamia. He manages Nous’s archives, documentation, and metadata systems, ensuring organised, accessible, and reliable research materials across all projects. With a strong grounding in media research, he supports narrative development, preserves critical documentation, and strengthens the research backbone that informs Nous’s storytelling and productions.
Zeenia Parveen is a visual producer and researcher currently pursuing her PhD in Political Science from Jamia Millia Islamia. She creates storyboards, visual maps, and conceptual frameworks that translate research insights into clear, compelling visual narratives. With a strong grounding in political analysis and visual thinking, she bridges the gap between content and design, ensuring that every project reflects both intellectual depth and visual coherence.

Bushra Khanum is a senior television journalist with over 20 years of experience in political reporting, narrative design, and public-interest journalism. At Nous, she leads narrative direction, interviews, and editorial development. A prominent New Delhi–based journalist, she has served as Consulting Editor at DB Live and worked with major media organisations including Network18, Zee Media, Doordarshan, ETV, and Big Synergy. Known for her ground reporting, fearless commentary, and sharp editorial voice, her work focuses on minority rights, human rights, political affairs, and social justice.
Md Meharban is an independent visual journalist with a PG Diploma in Photography and Visual Communication from AJK MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia. Specialising in photojournalism and video journalism, he brings a sharp documentary eye to humanitarian, environmental, and fact-based storytelling. His work has been published in several global media outlets. At Nous, he directs cinematography, lighting, and studio visual workflows, ensuring that every production carries a strong visual identity, technical excellence, and narrative integrity.

Adnaan Siddiqui is a video editor and motion designer skilled in motion graphics, visual effects, and 3D animation. With expertise in Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, and post-production tools, he transforms scripts into visually captivating stories that elevate Nous’ multimedia projects.
